Default torque arm

Is changing out the torque arm and lower control arms in the rear a hard job? Or just time consuming?

Not hard at all. LCAs are extremely simple, the TA takes a little more time.

just support the car on jack stands and use a jack to hold up the rear end.

Oh and you will probably have to get longer bolts for your aftermarket torque arm.

hey there buddy, i was the one with the satin black trans am at sonic that one night. you got your lts on? and it really doesnt matter which company you go with. theres UMI, BMR etc. do you want them to be adjustable? if your ever going to lower the car i would get an adjustable TA so you can change the angle

They are both a pretty simple installation. Like someone mentioned the control arms are very easy, just unbolt them and install the new ones. The torque arm is a little more time comsuming but a easy install as well.

Please keep us in mind for your shopping and if you have any questions please ask. www.umiperformance.com

Thank you!

both installations are fairly straight forward. The only time consuming part of the installation of the torque arm is removing the rivets from the factory bracket so that you can install the poly bushing (assuming you are going with a transmission mount type). To help when installing the torque arm over the rear end housing make sure the jam nuts are loose (assuming its adjustable) and play with the adjuster to help slide it on.
LCAs are very easy, just do one at a time.
UMI, BMR, and Spohn all make good torque arms, buy the one with the best price and you should be happy. I ran a BMR for 10 years and now have a UMI and are happy with both.
