Default Cleaning and maintenance HP gains, any?

I have read that as these cars age they begin to lose power with dirt, grime, wear, etc. I read on a post recently that pulling the TB off and cleaning out the inside of it will remove a lot of gunk, and that he noticed a difference in the throttle response afterwards. Other people say that adding seafoam to the engine will clean it out, regaining lost HP.

I know you can add the seafoam to the gas tank engine oil, but there is also a third place.

Anyways, does anyone have any other good tips of cleaning up the car to recover some lost HP?

Just keeping your car tuned-up properly makes a pretty big difference. Good spark plugs, air filter, fresh oil, etc., just your normal maintenance stuff, staying on top of all that usually will help you bigtime. If you want to go further, I'd say also go ahead and look into maybe cleaning your MAF screen and TB. I've read nothing but positive results about Seafoam too so you could also look into that as well.

LOL!

I actually plan on starting a separate thread some time soon on what the best waxing and washing products out there are.

You use seafoam every two or three tanks of gas? That's really often. It says to use it on every 2nd or 3rd oil change, and seafoam isn't that cheap either, it's almost $10 a can.
