Need a Perf computer
Got a 99 TA WS6 and i just installed a volant CAI and Magnaflow cat-back and just ordered long-tube headers and hiflow kitties, a fast intake and a 90mm tb
So my question is What perf comp should i use?
What is the most popular best bang for the buck?
I have one on my dmax and i picked up 112rwhp and i know i wont see that but how much can i expect?
Thanks

the handheld tuners really are not good "bang for the buck."
A complete dyno tune from a shop yields the best results but even a mail order tune from a sponsor will be better than a handheld.
Read through the PCM/Diagnostics forum here and you'll start to get an idea why this is kind of a vague question.

Im with USAFWS6... If someone is trying to sell you a new ECU, walk away. You dont need a new 'perf comp'... our cars have EXCELLENT comps, they just need to be 'tuned'.
As stated earlier, your best bet is a street / dyno tune, then a mail order, then a handheld.
Good luck!

think of the ls1 computer as a flashdrive, you can just keep rewriting over and over. i think its 512mb accually. now if you had a swap vehicle i would say go with a "411" computer, thats what most harness makers recommend anyway. coming from the diesel world you get a free pass for liking handheld tuners. listen to the guys on here they know there ****.
