first dyno
so i was at a car show here in central california at a friends shop (ssauto) and he said 20 bucks for a couple pulls so of course i took him up on that. first pull free wheels no load on the dyno and i put down 363horse power and over 400 pounds of torque. set up the computer and factored in the load and all that cute ****. and i put down 277 horse power and 342 pounds of torque to the wheels. does this sound about right for an 01 ss? all pulls were done in 4th gear and the pulls were from 2k-5500 rpms

Those are prob way off your supposed to do an auto in 3rd because its the 1-1 ratio and 4th is for a m6. He sounds like he got confused I was under the impression that dyno pulls in 4th on an auto is bad juju

No worrys..what are you running and what's your mods? You didn't state that so it will be hard for others to see if your stuff is in the right ball park.

Might not hurt to rebuild the engine if you have time and cando it. Might increase the power and life of the block but if its not broke don't fix it I guess

its just my dd, not really into numbers or racing
just going to upgrade suspension/bushings/motor mounts/tranny mount
body work and paint
and keep doing the regular tune ups and then tune it for fuel economy
