Default fuel injectors

I own a 99 Ls1 trans am and have a bad fuel injector. Ive tried numerous different types of cleaner hoping to solve the problem, but nothing works. That being said im just going to buy a new fuel injector. But. . I dont know what lb injector it is. I would go through a dealership but prices are tooooo hi on these things for my budget. Therefore im going through a friend at comp cams that can get me a pretty discount. My question is WHAT SIZE INJECTOR DO I NEED??? I called the dealership and the dumb a** guy at the parts counter couldnt tell me what size they are, and told me the only way to find out is to test them??? BS!!!. If anybody could tell me what size/lb (stock) injector comes on a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am Ls1 it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Stock is 26 for the 1999/2000 cars

28.8s for the 1998s and 2001/2002s

Actually the 99s have the smaller 26.X injectors. I think it is 26.4 but not sure, why not just buy a used one? You can probably buy a whole set used for what one new one would cost.

26.8 and 28.8s are the only two stock options for f-bodies.

Do yourself a favor and just get a new set, maybe look at a aftermarket co. such as racetronix. May need to get an adjustment in the tune. Would kinda suck having to go to the stealership to get them.

Replacing just one will likely give you a mismatch as
the old ones are now crusty / silted up.

How do you know the injector is bad?

If it's just gum / silt and they are mechanically /
electrically functional, and you can stand the down
time, sending the whole set off for service & flow
test might be cheaper than a new single injector.

My check engine light came on and the motor started puttering smelling like straight gasoline. So i took it to my tuner and the computer is reading bank 3 fuel injector. Im guessing it is stuck wide open. Ive tried every fuel system cleaner made.
