Default Rising From The Ashes...

Here is Why Many of you question why not go with this mod and not the other. For example, why go with shorty headers and not LT's. Well Frankly I did not have the cash in my budget, due to the extensive built i had to make to bring my Trans Am Back to life after a wreck that happen 4 hrs of arriving in mexico for vacation last nov 2010. A good friend of mine made this horrible nightmare reality for me, and did not kick his ***. We where drunk by the way, and yes, he owns a 5.0, thought it was the same as a T/A.

What i Had to do... Buy a front clip here in texas, and transport it all the way down to Zacatecas MEX.
To include all the performance parts, seals gaskets and many, many other components. If 10 to 13k weren't spent on this, it might of been more. I'm just so happy to have my T/A Back In Texas (Austin) area where it belongs. It is a true neck breaker now,
The frame work is awesome, cant even tell a scratch ever happen to it, not to mention the paint, it's silver with pearl to give it that killer look when the sun hits it. The black stripes, are Flat Black, red calipers, and even sail panel/front plate firebird emblems.
Lots of sweat blood and tears went into this car/built. For 9 Months i agonized waiting for the completion. But like i said, it's home and already doing great.
I need to get it tuned and my stall installed to be 100%... But i really need to catch up financially, this ride really drain the hell out of me... I got lot more pictures to come, Enjoy the Previews.

AND YES...
I AM A TRUE TRANS AM PROUD OWNER!!!

Here it is...

And More....

I'll post them all as soon i as i can, just so you all can see my dedication for not letting this ride Die...
Means a lot to me, I Took my Dad to Mex in it for the last time, a couple of months later he passed away on me.
So I make a connection, and still see him by my side in my ride heading south of the boarder...

I LV YOU DAD... RIP

That's me at the end of the pics...

Absolutely!!!
LIke nothing ever happen.... The impact was before the direction/ suspension. I let go of the wheel and it goes straight. My Mechanic friend made this build like it was his car.
He put his heart into it... You wont believe what he charged me on Labor.
Its a beast, and just sounds Sooo good!

I had very similair damage done to my mustang great a while back. Kept trying to rebuild her. But just couldn't. Let her go. Then doing so gave birth to my 00 Firehawk. Love this car! Already giving her a new.life Congrats man! Got a beautiful ride!

You my friend are one dedicated individual. Congrats on not letting it die. I absolutely love my SS to death and if I had that kind of damage I would literally cry as I let it go. You have an awesome friend too.

Congratulations man.. Glad to see it finally together! I know first hand you spent the time and money to try and make it turn out the "right" way!

Came a long way since you first posted! Now not only can you easily walk an 03/04 cobra, you can do it in style!

Happy for you man.

The wife and I were on our Honeymoon, participating as Long Haulers in Hot Rod's 2011 Power Tour. On the 6th Day we were headed from Indianapolis, IN to Muskegon, MI.

We were Northbound in the left lane of an undivided 4 Lane in the small town of Lakeville, IN when a stupid kid in a 98 Camry was traveling too fast in the left lane of the Southbound. He came upon a vehicle stopped that was wanting to turn left. It was raining and he didn't believe he had enough time to stop behind this car without rear-ending them, so he made a move to the right lane in an attempt to avoid them. There he clipped a car in the right lane, which sent him skidding out of control, across the centerline, directly into you-know-who.

The Honeymoon ended right that second. It still makes me furious to imagine it, let alone have lived it.

His Ins. Co., State Farm, deemed the car "Totaled" and I'm in the process of fighting them to get as much money as I can in order to have enough to restore it. (I have also filed a claim with my Ins. Co. in order to get the best deal.)

Its very disappointing, to say the least.

Again though, seeing yours "Rise from the Ashes" is very encouraging. Too many people would simply let their car go to the junk yard to be picked apart for a minimal amount of settlement money. Not gonna happen. Not to me. And apparently not to you either. Good for you, man! And thanks for posting your story. Let it be an inspiration to all of us.
