Showing off my new ride, first LS1 ('99 Z28)
In the past ten years, I have owned a '96 Camaro SS and a '74 Z28 snd I have always wanted an LS1 F-Body. As luck had it, someone traded this beautiful 1999 Z28 with 48K miles and like new into a Chrysler dealer. Saw it sitting in the trade in lot destined for auction, but I brought cash to the table... it came home with me! I took a leap of faith knowing it was modded, here's what it had done:
TSP 228R cam over 112LSA
Fast 92mm intake and TB
HSW 92mm nitrous plate
HSW Wet setup with 75 shot pill
36lb Injectors
TR6 Plugs
Custom nitrous tune by EFI Alchemy in Jax, FL
LS2 Timing chain and oil pump
PaceSetter LT headers, coated
TSP catted Y-Pipe
Blowmaster catback (soon to change)
Monster Level II Clutch
Tick Adjustable Master
B&M Shifter with skip shift eliminator
BMR Lower control Arms
What I have done since last week:
New TR6 Plugs
Fixed exhaust leak
OE Wheels C6 Z06 Wheels and tires
Re-dyno'd and checked tune at EFI Alchemy
To be Done:
BMR Torgue Arm
Magnaflow Catback
Here she is, my new street killer!
And the numbers of course

Yeah, I think the problem may lay with the fact it has stock heads only upgraded with PAC springs and the TSP pushrods. Talking to Doc at EFI Alchemy, it would seem a set of LS6 heads would boost it to 400 non juice.
BTW I bought this at Liberty Chrysler in Hinesville, GA for $7600.

It's a smaller cam on stock 853 heads WITH a nitrous tune guys. My friend with a 228R and decked 5.3 heads makes around this through an auto with a N/A tune. Also says it was 90* for the run conditions.

Thanks for the compliments on my ride, and yes it was setup for nitrous at the dealership. The sales manager had no intention of keeping that car long, and he was happy to sell it to me. I had a full inspection done on it and the only thing found was the exhaust leak caused by a loose clamp. The prior owner spent a small fortune on the parts alone for this car it seems!
