Default hesitation after spark plug change

Just put ngk spark plugs and changed my wires now she hesitates when increasing throttle some times she acts normal the sometimes its kinda doesn't know what to do when I punch it or give it half throttle. Could it be the plugs or wires? Or MAF? Maybe? Or fuel? Idk im lost

Might have some wires not fully clicked onto the spark plug terminal studs due to the tight constraints of the engine bay area... My MSD wires did that to me with E3 spark plugs.

What gap did you set these particular NGKs?

Possibly need to retighten plugs, or like others said, make sure wires are clicked* onto the plugs. I had two wires somehow blow off plugs once, and one plug was slightly loose. Couldn't tell by grabbing the plug but when I put a socket on it, it was 2/3's or so of a turn loose. Car did weird things before I caught it, stumbling under load, odd sounds, etc. Check the simple stuff

If the wires are all making good contact, then you make have a hairline crack in one of the new plugs.

I checked the forum and lots of people have said .40 is right and they had no problems. Maybe the just need to break in if that makes sense Idk

.040 (I'm assuming that's what you meant) is not right for a stock heat range plug, unless it's the newer style iridium plug, which is supposed to have a smaller gap according to GM. If that's the case, then you have the right gap.

And no, spark plugs don't ever need to "break in". If you just changed plugs and wires, and now have hesitation/mis-fire that you didn't before, then something is wrong with the plug(s), wire(s), or the connection between the two.

They are iridium ngks. It hasn't done it in a while maybe something was loose and I fixed it by tightening them. Thanks guys

Makes sense, and to add for anyone else in the future. If something is not right, start with the obvious and move forward. A re tighten and a re-plug in of the wires is a good start. Checking any connections you un plugged.

IF still having the issue, then remove each one and inspect. Eventually you diag the situation.
