Default Yes, its a cam question

k im gonna try and keep this not like the other billion cam questions a week "what cam should i buy everybody?"
those that have mild cams, gm hotcam, etc, how do you like them, i want to cam and i know with cam i need new springs rods retainers etc but im trying to narrow down the cam i want to choose and looking for feedback from ppl with these cams. mods are in sig and i want a decent cam that will provide a noticeable boost in power with a nice exhaust lope but keeping driveablity and not killing my gas. just want to see the way most ppl with cam in the mild category went and how it has worked for them. thanks in advance

I have the TSP 228r, and I couldn't be happier, has great power for its size, and it has a aggressive idle, but it still isn't to radical to be daily driven.

I like thunder racing cams the best. They have such a wide variety of "styles" and they make great power. Not to mention they're great with pricing.

You might want to talk to TR before you buy the dual springs I'm sure they would work but they seem like overkill for that mild of a cam I'd go with either comp 26918's or PAC 1218' then you could either re-use your stock retainers and spend the money on other parts or upgrade to titanium retainers.

You can get a bigger cam than that and with a good driveability tune it will still be easy to drive everyday. Id just call Thunder Racing if that's the company you want to go with. I have their RapTR cam 236/242 .615/.615 111LSA and I daily drive it (although the car doesnt like the heat very much).

Yeah I think my driveability tune needs some work but im sure it will run fine when its fixed but to be safe I know Lunati makes a cam thats 233/239 .599/.601 112LSA (I think the lift is right?) and yeah that'd be a solid cam to go with IMO.

I have a 222/224 .566/.568" 112 LSA on 110 from Comp Cams. It makes great mid range torque but idles smooth. I am looking at stuff in the 226 to 230 range in an attempt to get some lope in the idle.
