just a question
I was having a talk with a buddy and we where talking about the gears in a 98-02 camaro ss. so if anyone could clear this up for me. so the question what gear ratio comes stock in a 4th gen camaro ss?

No 2.73s ever came in any '98-'02 SS. GU5 (3.23) was a required option when WU8 (SS) was selected with MX0/M30 (automatic trans, 4L60E).
If the SS was an A4, then it came with 3.23s. If it was an M6, it came with 3.42s. Those were the only gears offered for SS, so it's either one or the other depending on trans type.

ok well niether of us have one, he said I should have gotten one over my T/A cause it would have came with 4.10's stock. I told him they didnt and he said that a friend of ours bought a "stock ss rear end" and it had 4.10's. so thanks for the help

4.10's were never a factory gear option for a F-body.
