Default 160 thermostat

Hi there,

A couple of weeks ago I installed a 160 thermostat in my 01 Z28, all stock, but haven't noticed any difference to the temp gauge, the needle always sits at the midpoint.
Is this fine? I was kind of expecting the engine to run cooler all the time...

Thanks

mmmm thanks, now I know why I don't see any difference in the gauge although I sense a very slight improvement in engine performance.

Had a 96 Z28 6 years ago and when I installed a 160 stat in it the needle always sat below midpoint so the change was obvious...

Thanks again for the link.

You will not "notice" a difference. If someone swapped out that Thermo w/o you knowing you would not remark about any difference.
