Default new z28...

i just bought a 02 Z28 with a new rear end, 3000 stall and built tranny, long tubes and dual back. the motor is stock except the cam, the problem is i dont know what kind of cam it is and the guy that i bought it from doesnt remember what it is. is there anyway i can find out the size of the cam with out taking it out?
once i find out what kind of cam i have i want to get new heads and a new intake. what kind would yall recommend?

As far as I know, if the previous owner doesn't remember theres no way to find out without removing it..

^^^ that could narrow it down a bit, but there are still so many different options that will change your numbers. Dynoing it would tell you if it's bigger or smaller though

does he remember where he bought it ? maybe the vendor can look up his purchases for you in hopes of earning your future business on heads & intake ?

how do u not remember what cam u put in? that is one of those things u need to remember, did he say he put it in or maybe owner before him?

Get us a video clip and what the idle is set at, along with a dyno sheet would help.

May also want to pull a valve cover and see the springs he was using...
