Default my first LS1 *pics*

i bought this car in august from a lady that i have known since i was about 7 years old. she bought it new in 1998, its a 1998 Z28, A4 w/ 149000 miles on it when i got it, stock and stock! even a stock lid! she gave me a file folder about 2 inches thick on the service records that she had for the car over the years. she also kept the car under a car port its whole life. she always ran 93 octane and did pensoil synthetic every oil change

now here is the amazing part, she sold me the car for 1500. she had bought a new car and said that she didnt want the Z28 anymore and asked me if i would be intrested in it for 1500 and said HELL YES. she said that all she wanted was what they would give her for trade in and they offered her 1500 for trade in on it. so i picked it up for 1500 from her. there was a few things it needed like all brakes and rotors, the pads inside the door for the window guide, and it needed the drivers belt molding.

so far the mods that i have done are, a lid (bought off of a board member here) and descreeded the MAF, i am picking up some pacesetter LT's, OR Y pipe and SLP loudmouth this weekend for it. (bought those off a board member here too) i tinted the windows and added the Zr1 wheels also. the next thing i am looking at doing is the suspenison stuff but i need to save up a bit before i make i purchase.

lastly LS1 tech has been a HUGE help!! any questions i have ever had i have so far, i found the answer to here on LS1 tech. so thanks!! any adivce or heads up would be appreciated.

here are a few pics of it when i got it and what it looks like now.

If you plan on making HP, SFC's are important.

they are 17X9 and 17X11 AFS reps. 275 on front and 315's on the rear. i ordered the AFS reps over the OE reps cause i didnt like the lip on the rears of the OE wheels. these look "more factory" than the OE's IMO

What a deal... You basically stole it, esp if its in very good condition.

thanks!!! yes it is in good condition, no holes in the seats, headliner still in tact, carpet has no tears, the car was garage kept or car port kept its whole life.

it does have door dings on the qtrs and normal things for a 13 year old car. but over all is still in very good condition. the only thing that worries me is the drivetrain excluding the motor because it is a A4 with 150K on it and never been rebuilt.

Just dont spend all your money on mods before the basics. I dont want to sound mean but there are things that can go wrong with 150k miles like a trans. You pretty much stole the car with the price tho.
