Default Does this ls1 seem sluggish to you? [Vid inside]

I was watching videos on youtube of camaro and FB runs. This video resembles about how fast mine is. Is it just me but compared to the other near stock ls1 videos doesn't this seem slower than average?

it only seems sluggish because of the 2.73's you have to understand that the ls1 doesnt make huge torque, so highway gears like that are useless. now if it had a 408 then that would be a different story.

He had some mods, sounded fine.

DO you have an M6 by any chance? I think on a speedo shot, a car with a clutch makes it seem faster (the slight pause and then pickup again).

In the mod list it says " 3400 stall torque converter, built 4L60E " I don't think he has a m6...

OP, I say get some 373's and take another Vid.

Or some No2 that will pick up the torque quite a bit ..

put some 3.42's in it and it will be a whole different animal

That car seemed pretty healthy to me. i guess its hard to tell how fast it is if your not in it or watching any track times but i thought it was good. i would try changing the gears in your car, should help alot.

2.73s and 3.23s came with the auto, 3.42s are standard with the M6

Any way to tell between 2.73s and 3.23 without pulling the cover and counting teeth?

Can I turn the wheel 1 full time and count how many times the drive shaft spins, approximately?

Check RPO codes (lt1 was in glovebox, ls1 on the drivers door?)

Code starts with a GU
GU5 is 3.23
GU2 is 2.73

Rest of codes can be found here

Yes it is on the driver door for LS1's. I also have 2.73's and while they are great for mpg's and I think they are the strongest gear for a 10-bolt in terms of durability resisting grenading the rear, I really want to swap them out.

I'm on my phone so I can't search for this: will a stock rear end from an M6 be compatible with an A4 that had 2.73's? I'm pretty sure the carrier is different, can you just pull that too and swap it?
