hey everyone new to here. i now have a 94 lifted cherokee with 33s. my frineds friend went off roadin the other day n wants a jeep. he wants mine. i have 150k on it, he offered to trade me his 02 trans am ls1 auto with ttops but doesnt have the ram air hood but thats ok. the thing is that the motor and tranny have 150k on it. is it a good trade. let me kno asap. this could happen tomorrow. ty

I would roughly price that trans am between 4-7k depending on condition.

It's gunna come down to how well the car was maintained, as long as it isn't smoking or knocking I wouldn't worry about it. I would swap him if I was in your shoes , mud holes are fun but so is drag racing

I would DD a well maintained TA with 200K. Just do the regular maintenance and maybe a little extra.

plugs, wires, O2s, fuel filter, air filter, starter, alternator, battery, shocks/struts etc.

Did anyone read the post who mentioned the high miles? His car currently has the same miles on it as the car he is looking to trade, so that's irrelevant. I think most on this site would do the trade in a heartbeat since they like these cars better then off road oriented cars. But honestly it all depends on what you like, IF the car has been taken care of 150K isn't a lot

Do it! 150k on a LS1 is like 150k on a 4.0. They both laugh at high mileage.

Plus lifted Cherokees are a dime a dozen, if the TA is clean it's worth way more.

My other car is a lifted '97 ZJ 4.0, btw.
