Hello Everybody, I've done my research and I just can't find the exact answer I'm looking for. I have a 2001 SS Camaro 6 speed Manual with the SLP package. At least I think I do. I will attach photo's for the exact things in question. My friend who has a 2011 SS Camaro told me to ask on here because he didn't know himself. I just bought this car about 2 weeks ago and I'm still trying to figure it out. My Clutch does have a Hurst shifter ****... but I'm not sure if its actually a Hurst Shifter. I've noticed the Shifter rod is in a weird shape and not straight. Which my friend thinks it is a aftermarket shifter. He explained that Hurst was a short shifter and that I should be able to shorten mine. So Clarification on that would help a lot! Next thing is a lot of SLP Camaro's I've looked at have the SLP Air Box cover with SLP on it, mine just has a Factory sticker with no SLP logo at all. I just changed out my exhaust which had the Dual Tips on each side which I was told the 2001 SS didn't have that, which it would of been a SLP exhaust. Pretty much I'm tired of hearing peoples opinions that don't have the car and wanting to hear it from people that really know what they are talking about.

To sum it all up, with my car having a SLP sticker on the Driver side door, which the only thing legible is the SLP stamp on the corner and the rest of the text is faded from over the years. What exactly is SLP on my car? Thank you for taking the time to read and respond!

The Car had 0 Mods from what I've noticed and from what the dealer told me. But we all know they lie.

Everything sounds right to me. You should have an SLP sticker on the passenger door listing the additional content. An SLP air lid was optional. It does sound like it has an SLP (dual-dual?) exhaust. You can also call SLP and they can tell you what additional content it came with. The number is on here somewhere. Oh, RPO code WU8 is the SS option.

You can contact SLP with your VIN number and they will tell you what options your car was originally equipped with, if it was in fact an original SS car. The contact information can be found in the Special Edition Vehicles section

It does have the Dual-Dual Exhaust Tips, which have been replaced by Flowmasters. I have no doubt the car was a SS, just still curious of what SLP additions are on the car. I'm still curious about the Shifter. Im very interested in making it shorter, and my friend telling me that if its a hurst, that it should be adjustable to make it shorter?

The shifter sounds like my factory one. The sticks kind of twisted and has a rubber isolator. I don't think you can shorted the factory one but you can replace it with a short stick. I would say to go aftermarket if you want to change it as the aftermarket ones have better springs and designs to help that 2nd to 3rd shift. I have a B&M.

Thank you for the advice. I just got off the phone with SLP, Told me my car was build #4086. The lady only mentioned 3 things that was on my car from them. Suspension, Exhaust and my hood. I then asked her about my shifter and she had no idea. She transferred me to a guy and he told me it could be 1 of 4 options. Because the info she gave me was what was documented from the factory.

1: GM Put in a Hurst shifter and never documented it.
2: A previous owner put a Hurst shifter in.
3: A previous owner just screwed a Hurst **** on
4: SLP just puts Hurst ***** on Factory Shifters that came on the line.

So I have to tear out my center console to get my answer. But the fact that SLP just put Hurst ***** on the Factory Shifters seems to me false advertising. But never the less the car is 11 Years old. Thank you all for the help!
