Default Got a question on Header and ORY install...

When you guys did the install did you install the headers and tighten them up then install the ORY or did you install the headers "loose" then install the ORY and tighten the headers down...trying to figure which way is easier to get everything to fit right........... thanks..

I Usually tighten the headers first but some Y-pipes suck to fit right so u may have to loosen them again to get the Y-Pipe to fit right !

I got the BBK's with their ORY.. OK guess i will try to start loose then install Y then tighten everything down... so i dont have to do twice... how about the rear passenger plug can you install it then set the passenger header up in place?? That thing is a real bitch to get too...

It definitely helps to leave everything a little loose that way you can make the necessary adjustments after everything is in place and then begin to tighten everything down.

Ive always tightened down the headers first on all 3 of my cars i did them on. Too hard to push the y pipe on if the headers are moving. Try it loose, and if it doesnt work, tighten em up and go at it again!
