I used GM MLS gaskets (part # 12589226) and Fel-Pro bolts when I pulled my heads to swap lifter/lifter trays. Worked great.

I recently used the Fel-Pro Permatorque and they have done well. A little easier on the budget then GM MLS and designed to be more forgiving for less then optimal surface prep, I say win/win.

GM MLS LS9 head gaskets. It's proven to be the best head gasket you can run. People have ran them from a 5.3 all the way up to big bore motors.

Lots of people have done the rod bolt upgrade. BUT, some have had issues with pre-mature failure of aftermarket rod bolts or bearing failure as a result. So, I say do at your own risk.

Not Recommended. I've re-used a head gasket when i had no other option before, but they are a one and done type deal.
