Best mods for newbie
hey everyone. This is my first post on my first day lol. Im a proud new owner of a 2005 gto and wondering what is the most important things i should be aware of/ do to the car. I've already had people come up and ask why the car pops when i downshift. I feel really stupid having no idea what to tell them. I dont want to be THAT guy who has no idea what he has. i know the gerneral things (ls2 6.0) but im just not sure what else i shopuld no to look out for. Thanks

im new to the ls1 and gm side too been awhile since i had one. As far as the intake goes it really can vary with which one you get. I have heard the vararam and svede make the most power. The svede is definitely more expensive but i have heard nothing but great reviews and the quality sounds like its there so im considering getting one myself. I know u have the 6.0 but i would imagine things will vary just the same as with the ls1

have you heard of the "P0468 Purge Flow Sensor Circuit High Input" error? THe engine light came on and i got it checked out and thats all the dude at advancede auto could say. He said the Purge flow output was higher than it should. Any idea how to fix it?

On all my cars I always start off with a basic intake and catback and then go from there. Your best bet is just to skim the forms and see what fits your needs best for what you want out of the car. I would honestly leave the suspension alone besides maybe lowering it a little bit but thats just me. Are there any current mods done to the car? And I would ask yourself what your goals for the car, do you wanna do drag racing, road racing, or just have a fun street car. That answer is going to impact what mods you are going to want to do.

street car! if its a street car then i would say exhaust. see a big difference in sound and performance. so i think you would be happiest doing exhaust. i cut my chokemaster off a week or two after getting my car. i now bought a full exhaust. a cutout is fun too. be louder by the flick of a switch
