Default biggest tires on 17'' rims

Im looking for a tire size that will give me a little more ground clearance for my exhaust. I'm at stock height with no plans on lowering. right now I'm running 275/40 R17. I need a good tire size for the front too. I don't want to have to cut anything. thanks

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear, but if you are at stock height and having trouble with exhaust clearance then you need better exhaust... What are you running? You can tuck up true duals pretty well...

Stock WS6 wheels are 17x9.

I have two cutouts after the headers followed by a magnaglow catback. I'm having a little too much scraping on the cutouts than I'd like. just trying to figure something out without losing the cutouts. I'm thinking about doing a rear cool over kit.

I have 285/40s on SS 10-spokes and to me it looks just
shy of "too wide". Not a whole lot of height added.

Almost impossible to find a Y or Z rated tire in anything
taller than a 40 series.

Might consider going up in rim diameter instead of looking
just to the rubber.

I agree with JD the exhaust is the problem here, it can be tucked up more then plenty for stock.

I put Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials II on the back and they are noticably taller.

Overall Diameter = 27.2

Also if you switch to a QA1 shock you can adjust the height with that.

They do make low profile cutouts that should fit better.... will probably cost less than new tires too.

MT's are not good on snow or rain. DD I wouldn't recommend this tire. I only use them on nice days.

To get a tire that tall you'll need to use a truck type tire.
