Cool 6.0 & L92 Heads

Hello guys i have a 1964 Pontiac GTO and want to build an L92 motor for it if not the6.0 trek block will be fine i am completely new the the LS Motors and was told forget anything i know about a small block chevy so id there anyone out there who can give me some tips on this, i do know i want to run a carb thanx Ron H

thats a great combo.you can find new l92 heads at SDPC for a good price.you will need the correct rockers for that head.are you going to find a used 6.0 short block ,or buy a built up short block ?you need a good cam to help with the head flow.Texas Speed sells some parts you mite need.you will have to shop around for the best price on the intake you want.look at a elderbrock intake and ignition combo.get the cam and push rods last after you get all of the parts you need .check on more sections in this forum for more info about your project.

get a custom cam made. these heads can be tricky and only like certain cam grinds

A 6.0 with ls3 style heads and matching cam can be very very stout with little money invested. Like mentioned above, get a custom cam, I suggest calling Geoff at EPS and speaking with him. He has some killer cam grinds that are very easy on The valvetrain.

With the right carb and exhaust, you can easily see 475 at the wheels on stock heads with a matching cam.

Smile do you have any good ideas

Does anyone have any low not cheap cost ideas on a 500+ HP motor i want to keep it under 3K cause i can buy the LS376 motor w 480hp for 8K and comes with everything i need so if you guys have any thing good you know that works i would be grateful and thank you guys for the replies.
