Magnaflow cat back muffler delete.
I just put a Magnaflow cat back on my ls1 f body and it is a bit too quiet. Has anyone performed a muffler delete on this cat back system? I have heard that it sounds pretty good deleteing the muffler on the stock system and you only loose about 2 horsepower.
I have stock manifolds.

Why not just add a cutout to the stock I-pipe and leave the Magnaflow? A regular cutout is only about $30-$40 or so from what I've seen. If you do that, you can decide when and where you want it loud.

I was thinking about that. However, I live in Virginia and figured that it may be easier to put together a exhaust delete kit in case of inspection for the same price that way it could be easily swapped. If I cut the Magnaflow I pipe then they may not pass me on inspection.

I have slp long tubes (i know, i know), ory and magnaflow CB and i love the sound. Not too loud at anything under 3k rpm, but when you get into it she has a good scream to her. It fits my needs. I say get some lt's and an ory and then see if its loud enough. If you dont want to spend $500+ then just put a cut-out on it call it a day. But if it were me i would just add LT's.
BTW, mjs1012.......f*cking awesome pic.

I have emissions testing. I would add LTs however, I heard it is a 5+ hour job and I cannot imagine doing this everytime I need the testing. I should have signed up for the 2 year tag renewal.
