Question What are these parts called?

Hi,

I'd like some help identifying these parts. I live in the Netherlands and I do speak some english but it's hard for me to label the individual tensioners and pulleys.

I also would like to know this because I've identified a tensioner that needs to be replaced. Is there a way to replace some of these parts with performance parts and see some powergains or should I just go with stock gm parts.

If you could help me figure out what they are called and perhaps provide part numbers (if not I'll try to look these up) I would be thankfull.

Greetings from the Netherlands.

1. Idler Pulley
2. Water Pump (It's one unit that I know of)
3. Alternator Pulley
4. Power Steering Pump Pulley
5. Belt Tensioner Pulley
6. Crankshaft/Harmonic Balancer
7. AC Compressor (One Unit also)
8/9. Idler Pulleys if I remember correctly when I replaced mine. One works as a tensioner for the AC belt but I believe it's all the same pulley.

Thank you for the info. Since I'd like to replace numbers 1, 5, 8 and 9, I wonder if there are replacement parts that will provide some powergains. Do you happen to know this?

They sell an "underdrive pulley" that replaces #6 (Crank pulley/Balancer)

1,5,8,9 replacements do not change power as they are not the driving(crankshaft) or driven(accessories) pulleys.

You can also replace #2 (water pump) with an electric unit.

Ok, I'll have to read up on that.
I hope you don't mind for all the questions I ask but I find some information hard to find. So here comes another one.

I know pulleys 8 and 9 are the same/interchangeable. But how about number 1. I mean when I am going to order online how can I differentiate between the parts that are called the same name, when it looks like 1 is a bigger size then 8 and 9 do. I hope I'm making myself clear

#8 idler #9 is a tensioner for the AC. #1 is tensioner pulley for the engine.

Thank you all for your help , now all I need to do is cross reference these against the parts number list, find out which are any good and place an order including new belts. For my own future reference I'll upload an updated picture. Thanks again.

Thank you, I've seen them before online. Is that a straightforward replacement, or does it involve some more altering or tuning?

just throwing this out there...

accessories layout is corvette style (which is different from the f-body). also explains the "winged" oilpan.. Z06 corvette to be exact, based on the red engine covers.

Sup Netherlands!

Comment appreciated, I was aware of the corvette layout. It was hard finding a front view of an f-body layout. Could have used the belt routing table decal though.

Misinformation...

1 is not an idler, 5 is not a tensioner...

Other way around.
