Default ls6 intake

does anybody know what a stock ls6 inlet size is?

i though it was 80mm but im trying to make sure.

i thought that was the ls1 intake with the egr?

both ls1 & ls6 intakes are 78mm ... only difference is the ls6 style intake has no egr ports and most importantly Flows much better.

Any power gain to be had by switching to a slightly larger MAF? Like an 85mm MAF?

the 78mm intake opening size would be the restriction .most people just get a ported stock TB.you can try to port out the intake opening.

So that's the reason people upgrade intakes. What about the LS2? Would I have to switch to a DBW setup?

you can buy an aftermarket 90mm throttle body

And not see any gain over the ls6 intake...the ls2 intake in stock form is junk.

You'll Only see a few horsepower up top from a LS2 and it's not a direct swap.
