Water pump gasket fell in..

Water pump gasket fell in.. Was replacing my water pump, I guess some had fallen off the pump into the hole when I took it off and then when I went to pull it out with something, it made it thin enough to slip down the jacket. The chunk was a little smaller than the opening but still a fairly sized chunk of gasket. Do I need to flush the block completely now or how can I take care of this?
