Default Exhaust next need opinions...

I just recently picked up my 02 Z bone stock minus a catback...no idea what the catback is but it looks like a aerochamber muffler and whoever put it on kept the stock tips idk but anyway so far I've have bought a slp lid did the free ram air mod and next is headers. questioning are:
do i need to do air delete for headers? plan on doing it anyway but wondering if i must do it to install headers?

I plan on running headers with true duals dumped before the axle...what mufflers will allow great flow and good sound since this is my daily.
Will it be cheaper to do a true dual setup and just chop it to my liking or get a custom one made from a muffler shop and just have them weld the mufflers in somewhere

I may be missing things thats why im here for help but basically my next mod i want to do is a good sounding true dual setup with a tune to follow not trying to go cheap but also trying not to go the route of a full kooks setup...looking for something in the middle of cheap and expensive. let me know what you guys think thanks

Dumps under the car will be loud!

You can always look into the used market for a good set of headers at a decent price.

Check out TSP true dual set up. And get coated headers. TSP or WS6Store has good prices on LTs...

Ya as far as coated I would get pacesetter or Hooker. TSP DUALS are are nice. They hang down low tho! Is your car lowered? Because you will be scraping everywhere.

Pacesetter are great for the money, honest on a stock internal car duals dont sound all that great,if your looking for loud i would go gmmg/borla with a open plate/and if you plan on staying a bolt on car the lm1 sounds pretty good with cats,if your looking for loud and quite you cannot beat a magnaflow and a cutout, magnaflow has a nice note to it as well, you cant go wrong with duals but they are very loud and theres no way to turn them down, and for sure delete the egr its useless crap,i have a plug for the ls1 intake if ya need it

the plan was to get full exhaust and then i wanted to do h/c but that wont be for awhile so i wanted to just do full exhaust and get a tune but if it sounds like **** i dont mind staying with the y setup i was just kinda thinking of the mods that will support me better down the road

I ran dumps under the floor boards were extremely loud. Ran it to the axle with cats and it sounds perfect with pacesetter long tubes.

I dont have my headers installed yet, waiting on my master cylinder so i can stick my hand in there easier. They look decent, for the price i cant complain. Wish they hadnt come with the air and egr ports. But i can weld those up.

Check out this thread. Just something to consider if buying headers. $500 for TSPs stainless headers is a pretty good deal in my opinion and the extra power they made over Pacesetters is worth the little bit extra to me. I'll most likely be picking up a set of the 1 7/8 headers in the near future.
