Great job. I'd say it should be a sticky for sure.
May want to mention that for a daily driven or frequently driven car- Steel flywheels are a safer/more durable choice (for the same reasons you dont use aluminum connecting rods). I dunno- a lot of people see them as cheap horsepower (since they are replacing the flywheel anyway) and have NO idea that it is more susceptable to deformation from deflection and has a finite fatigue life...whereas steel is more forgiving... I'm sure more than 1 person has learned this the hard way...

Yup that is very informative........even for an A-4 guy....haha. I plan to own an m-6 one day, I just could'nt bring myself to learn how on my brand new car....someday!!!!

Thank you for the write up, this explained alot for me...I think I know qiuite a bit about engines, but never enough it seems and this is one area where I needed help. I appreciate your time and effort, I'll buy you a large beer if we ever meet in person...

Nice post man. I wish i'd had been able to read something like this a couple years ago when i didn't know how clutches work. Just a suggestion, an exploded view of all the pieces from the flywheel to the input shaft might help explain how stuff fits together better. I never understood completely till i actually did a clutch swap.

So...I'm sitting in my Powertrain class today and we're talking all about how transmission work...glad I read this before I went so I didn't look like a complete moron in front of everyone!
