What you gonna do with that sr20? I got spanked by one when I had a stock ls1 formula. He was making over 270hp to the wheels on that little sr20, and he had almost no money invested.

I would look for a ls1 and have it stroked to a 383. Keep an eye open for some older Absolute Speed, Carteck, AFR, or any good used head. The bore diameter will be correct. This will keep your cost down and give you a really solid 450-480 hp to the wheels with a bus load of torque with the right cam. You are still going to have to find a 90/90 intake.
I don't know if you could go with boost afterwards. Certainly not going to be able to push it very much.

Actually the iron LQ4/9 have been confirmed at 110 lbs more than the LS1 aluminum block.

if on a budget.....6.0 iron block. gut the car. add a cam, some heads, and a 200 shot....youll have a monster. especially if auto with a stall and bolt ons. i went with the AES 390 for my procharged build. i should have no probs as 1000rwhp. hoping for low 9's high 8's. give fraser a call at aes. hell get you rollin fast.
