Default LT1 Cold Air Intake Piping into LS1 Throttle Body

I recently picked up piping for an LT1 cold air intake, and was wondering if it'll fit onto my stock LS1 throttle body. I got it for free from a friend, so it's not a problem if it won't fit, I'm just curious before I go to the trouble of removing my air box/lid to try and test fit it.

Depends on what kit you got for the LT1.

IF its like a K&N style it runs from the intake track down and swings to the driver side corner and goes into the well. The issue is that on LS cars they put fuses there and you would need to relocate.

So post a pic of what you have and we can see what will work.

Why are you putting a god awful LT1 CAI on an LS1?

Are you talking about the "ram air" style that goes on top of the intake manifold, or the CAI that goes off to the side?

Free is free. Though I would think a used lid is not that expensive you can incorperate a LT1 CAI on a car, just depends on which kind. If not looking for a show stopper budget beater racer, heck I would use it and feel good about it.

Right but the lid is a much better setup, LT1 guys are gaining .2 in the 1/4 and 2 mph over a traditional style CAI

Have a fun time rewiring everything. The main fuse boxes and relay centers are in the way of running an LT1 CAI on a 98+ car. Also the TB on an LS1 is round while the LT1 is oval. After your done rewiring please enjoy your free loss of HP from that horrible design of an intake.. lol.
