volant cai any good for a camaro hood
I bought a camaro with a volant cold air induction on it, but everyone I see has some type of lid on there car, are these just not popular because they cost like 200 bucks, or are they no good with out ram air?

I have this on my ws6 (on it when I bought it). I can't figure out if it's better than a lid or not. There is VERY little data on it. I'm assuming because it's $300 or you can buy a lid for $100. The general consensus is that it's almost identical from a power stand point to a lid.
If it were me and someone wanted to switch, I probably would take $50 and a lid setup. I like the way the lids look better.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with them it's just that most people don't want to spend over $100 more then a lid and get the same power gains. I would keep using it since you already have it.
FYI, if you take out some of the Styrofoam behind the two openings in the nose of the car, you can then direct that fresh outside air up towards the air filter.
