How fast of a 1/4 could I do?
I went to the track for my first run ever and had the worst 60 ft of 2.2.
I ran the 1/4 in 13.5 at 103.
Realistically, if I get a good 60 ft how fast can I do the 1/4???

I've heard that every .1 of a sixty you drop that's .15 at the 1/4.
so if you had a 2.2 sixty and ran a 13.5, then ran a 1.9 sixty the 1/4 would be 13.05 I think. hopefully someone will chime in with some more help

The problems I had.
1st I went through the water on street tires.
2nd I did not spin my tire enough.
3rd I have to get new tires they are at the bands in the tread to replace
4th I SPUN
5th there was a head wind and it was a bit cold (50 degrees).
If I can think of more reasons for my my crappy performance I will defiantely use them. I am sure the next time I go I will not be as nervous and will not make such stupid mistakes. I also need to practice launches at a rev.
Thanks for all the info so far.

How about the tires not getting warm from the cold?

Well you have similar times to me when I was stock cutting 2.0 so for me it took a little better '60 and a lid and exahust and a good track prep (thanks Stanton!!!) to see 12's, I think you can get there with a little practice and some decent tires. FYI I never go through the water, just a quick lil burnout (on F1's) stage and pre-load the drivetrain just a little and let the lights drop!!!!
