I went to look at a 2000 formula for sale and was interested in it due to supposenly a WS6 formula. When I got out to look at it I noticed the 16 inch ABS rims and stock T/A exhaust tips. Popped the hood and had standard air box on it. Didn't have WS6 badge on the back of car. The sellers said they bought it from a car dealer and the dealer told them that it was a ram air Ws6. I didn't say anything, but in my mind I said that the origional owner put a WS6 hood on it and that the dealer took these people for one heck of a ride. They gave me the vin # to run. Can anyone run this and see? Vin #2G2FV22GIY2132443. I looked on the inside of driver door for the codes. It had WS9 on there.

Sounds like someone just put a hood on it. And to most people thats enough to call it a "ram air"

It should have the WS6 RPO code listed on the drivers door. If it dosent then it was not a WS6 from the factory.

No WS6, no ram air. Carfax says that's not a valid vin.

Thanks for the info. I'm not going to tell these people that they got taken by the dealer however I am going to tell them I'm no longer interested in the car. There is a 99 WS6 T/A A4 with a 102,000 miles on it. Looked at it almost 2 months ago and it's still on the lot. Asking 11,900 for it. Might try to get him down to 10K. I'm just looking for a second f-bod that I can drive around and not care about driving in the rain. and modd the heck out of it. My WS6 just sits in the garage and until I attend a car show or just cruz around on days like today( sunny and 80 degrees)

11,900 for a car with 102k miles?! holy ****! I got my 99 with 46k for $13,598. Though strangely enough, kelly blue book says that car you're looking at is worth 14.5k.

It is strange. I checked the blue book as well. Sounds like you got a good deal. If I can get him down on price I may go for it however I'm in no hurry. I already have one. I'm just looking for A second one to run around in and not care if it gets rained on or not worry about driving somewhere and getting it ding ect. And of course MOD the heck out of it. The one I have now I baby it and at times maybe too much but I love my car. I would like to keep it somewhat close to origional specs.
