Default Loosing Burning oil?

I Just put a new 6.0 in my camaro, and my low oil light came on, i had to put almost 2 and 1/2 quarts in it. looked underneath and its not leaking anywhere. So i thought maybe the oil place had only put 5 quarts in or something dumb. I keep driving it and boom again low oil light after 500-1000 miles or so from topin it off. First time i checked few spark plugs, look normal. I Dont think it seems like its burning out the exhaust. its been parked and im thinkin about playing with it, any one have any problems or what else to start checkin.

Have you checked the dip stick to see if it's actually low on oil? The oil level sensor might be bad.

Try checking your oil level after allowing the vehicle to sit a couple of hours. You shouldn't be seeing that much variation in your oil level. I'm thinking that you might have a high volume oil pump installed that is pumping your crankcase oil up stairs where it's taking some time to drain back. (You just said that the 6.0L engine was new. Wasn't sure if that meant a new engine or a rebuilt one. If rebuilt, someone may have used a high volume oil pump instead of the stocker.)

Hope you find the problem!

Mine did the same thing when I tried using synthetic oil it used a QT every 1000 miles switch back to conventional and doesn't use a drop.
