Default difference in 70+ pull?

After finally getting around to checking my door codes if found out I have 2.73 gears . On a VERY regular basis this car sees 100+mph and right now I'm am building the handling of the car up and then will concentrate on motor, this is my daily driver, so I have to be carefull about motor mods. Z06 intake and Z06 cam and springs are next, with long tubes, no cats, and magnaflow with QTP cutouts(highway only) or some rice popping .Question is what will gears do for the for a faster pull at high speed like 80 to 140 mph, it seem a little slow to build speed past 120? Drag racing isn't what I really want to do being a daily driver. Any thoughts would be helpful.

put in some 3.23 or 3.42 gears. Should give you better pull and still leave some top end.

correct me if iam wrong but i do believe smaller gears like 3.23, 3.42 will let you go faster as far as top speed goes, than bigger gears like 4.10 which let you do a fast 1/4 mile.

Yeah the 2.73 have more top end than 3.23 or 3.42, I just want the car to pull hard as hell over 70 or 80 to about 140+mph, no 4.10's are wanted because I don't drag race alot.

3.42's will take you to about 150 if you raise your rev limiter, which you'll need to with the LS6 cam to get the most power out of it.

At 7000 RPM's you'll be doing ~156 mph.

6300 will get you to 140.

i love my 3.42's excellent choice, with a new zexel and install kit, quiet as hell (real gm gears only).

Cheaper to swap a whole rear end, but i wanted to know my gm gears were new, the slp zexel had little miles, etc.. Not a punk with an m6,nitto's and spray..

3.42 rears only came on m6's iirc. They are much more abused than A4'ers since we tend to preload to launch.
