Default 2001 T/A Ws6 Ls1. Any ideas?

I just bout the car about 6mo ago. 160,000miles with stock Ls1. Aftermarket suspension, rims, and tires. Needs a little but of work as far as horses are concerned.
Im thinkin bore/stroke and hone, get it about 348-350c.in.
Ls6 longtube hooker headers and a completely new exhaust. It already has the Ls6 Intake Manifold (since its an 01) so maybe and SLP intake sytem instead of stock ram air.
Any tips, tricks, or suggestions for max horsepower? Max budget: $4000.

I'd look into Texas Speed for a good priced heads and cam package to start

Research more before you buy any parts if your new to ls motors. The worst thing you can do is fly into a parts buying frenzy and then have stuff that won't work together.

you can hone the block out .010 .reuse the stock crank and get new rods and pistons ,for a 347.or do a 383 ls1 stroker rotating with a 4" crank .the stroker would work better with a bigger cam then a stock stroke crank.whats your budget ?can you afford ported heads ?call TSP for prices on the mentioned parts.you will need bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump .do you have a good engine builder local ?
