Default New injectors Vs. Resizing

I pulled my ls1 out of my car to swap to another and I am putting a few parts on it while it's out. I have a 228r cam on order and considering heads. I assume I will also need to upgrade injectors to the 36# range. In the past i have always just bought new injectors, but to save about $200 I am considering having mine resized. I was wondering what everyones experience with injector resizing is good or bad. I'd like to know what you had them resized to and how long you have been running them.

good luck finding proper injector characterization for re sized injectors ( dont ever believe what the guys selling them tell you lol)

why not just buy some L67 injectors( series 2 3800 supercharged) they are the same part # as Fast sells and can usually be found for $20-30 each on 3800 forums , I can free some up if you cant score any locally...

These are the people I was looking at for the resizing http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...hp?groupid=118 . Found some L67 injectors on ebay most were in sets of six and the one set of 8 had 2 mismatched. There is no such thing as local part sourcing localy where I live outside of Birmingham. I can never find any good parts on craigslist. I am not super thrifty at knowing what parts from other cars would fit mine either.

search those guys on hp tuners forum to see if people are able to get proper data for them , it is much discussed over there.

if you decide to go used l67 injectors I would sell 8 for $170 shipped ( $20 each plus $10 to cover shipping) nobody ever sells 8 its always six ,I buy them usually 6 at a time when I notice them and sell 8 as I know someone is always looking for them... or if you need 2 to complete a set of 6 I can also help you , I think I have 10 or 12 of them right now...

There's an ASA Corvette tune @ tune file depot that has the correct data.

I would buy new or used w/ the correct size you want...I bought some used White Pontiac GTP Injectors (which will be up for sale shortly) off of Ebay for my old Heads Cam build for I believe somewhere around 200 bucks...think they equate to 42 #ers on a LS1.

There's just no way you can compare quality (or
tolerance) control on an individually drilled injector,
to what you get on the Bosch or Lucas or whatever,
high volume production line.

Now if you received a decent flow test report on all
8 that included narrow pulse width operation, you
could criticize what comes in the bag and maybe even
figure a good flow table & offsets. But odds are, you
will not see anything of the kind, especially if they're
coming under $50 a pop.

If you want cheap then you have to go mass produced
and believe in statistics and process control. Of course
you don't get to know those either, just that all the
major automotive companies with their spec control
armies found the manufacturer's quality acceptable.

same injectors I am referring to gtp ,ssei , Park ave Ultra , regal gs , riviera , monte intimidator ss , etc... anything series 2 3800 supercharged came with the white 33's from 96-04. And the correct data is the tune for the same vehicles , plenty of those in hpt tune repository

Shouldn't need to swap injectors with just a cam swap.
