use the stock GM exhaust manifold gaskets.what are the emissions laws in your state ?can you delete stuff.if so remove the junk and consider a mail order tune from Frost.consider a cut out for going to the track.

You have a 01 so you don't have EGR and since you are going with on ory, just order the headers without the air provisions and delete your air.

Personally I would hold off on the header install until I already have motor mounts on hand. Seems that nearly everyone who puts it off wishes they hadn't. That's an awful lot of work to have to do it twice man. I plan to save up and do it all at once on mine.

Poly motor mounts aren't that much. Considering they will be sitting there, looking pretty as ****, you will kick yourself if you don't do them now. I know the urge is strong, I have a set of long tubes in the garage calling my name now. But I don't have motor mounts yet either, next payday.

+1. These guys are correct. I didn't do motor mounts at the same time and I am definitely regretting it now and I had my motor mounts at the time of my install. I can't find a shop or anyone that will do it for less than $400.

Its also WAY easier to install headers with header studs instead of header bolts and they look nice IMO.

I was able to reuse the air gaskets as they were in decent shape. I also used the stock manifold gaskets. Everything sealed up good.

if you do the motor mounts poly, don't get a poly trans mount. it will shake a lot and eat up the mount. I didn't do motor mounts when I did my headers and I don't regret it. also lining up the poly motor mounts is a huge PITA. I went with bbk headers with a ORY and it sounds great. cat and muffler/ egr and air delete. I only use a resonator and had it tuned out. and IMO, don't ever do a mail order tune. its one of the dumbest/wasted money spent. spend the money and put the car on a dyno and do a tune for your specific car. not every car takes the mail order tune the exact same way. some company did that tune on a similar car, at different temps and pressures, with other variables. IMO NEVER do a MOT!

yes get the gm gaskets... i had to use the one's supplied with my hooker headers. But ima eliminate my air and egr with block off plates before i get a tune this month. Get the gm header gaskets from the ws6 store. i bought almost everything from them.

instead of the O2 extensions, you can use corvette O2 sensors and they are long enough plus you get new sensors to boot. That is what i did and alot of people have.

I forgot the part# so maybe someone will chime in with it
