How to launch a tsp 233/239 cammed m6 Ive had my 2000 ws6 for about 3 months. It has the tsp 233/239 cam ls6 intake corsa headers and catback 275/40/17 mt dr and a lean dyno tune that only put out 371hp. The problem at the track is I either hook up bog and run a 13.2 or I spin and run a 12.77.

assuming your running hte nto5Rs u have listed, my .02, with out a 2step set up (which i highly recommend for $200) u need to find a balance of about 3-8 ft of wheel spin and then with the R tires u should feel the car grab like a mf and just hook the rest of the way through the gears, idk what size tires u have, i ran a 315/35R17 nt555Rs on full bolt on T/A with 9in and 3.70 (335rwhp), i could launch at 3-3.5k (no 2 step atm) of holding steady/feathering throttle before clutch dump then just floored it and held through every gear and only spun maybe 10 feet on launch felt car sink down and just pull like no other, also wheel hop in 4th means something is wrong, im running 400rwhp atm on nt555 regulars and i dont get wheel spin going into 2nd, id look over ur rear suspension and if needed do LCR brackets or something, possibly clutch is "bouncing" going into 4th but i HIGHLY doubt wheel spin unless somethings terrible in the rear end, no offense

It pulls really hard after it bogs. Top end speed is awesome. I just want it to launch out the gate like my stock 02 z28 predecessor that runs consistant 12.20's at the track. I feel like it may be a common problem with this cam but i dk.

if people have similiar issues with that cam then it might be a VERY fine line of wheel spin and bogging, i know i have an epp blower cam and 243 heads now on my new engine, and 9:1 CR, im a dog under 1400 rpms, it falls on its face and somtimes back fires it hits 1500 and ****** pulls like a mf from there on, after 3800 "vtec" kicks in..lol, but yeah could be cam related, also depends on how light ur clutch is

i dont do 1/4 mile unfortunately, nothing near by, theres a little local circle track that does drag style racing, start form a stand still, laucn and do 1 lap first person to cross finish line wins, but i can out launch anything out there, some kill me in corners but, ill attempt to upload a vid h/o

well damn lol, yeah its cool cause i get the thrill of dead stop full power launches and im still gettin use to cornering, stil trying to tune car in and i personally have alot to learn so its cool, $15 every wed with a chance to win $175 but i honestly dont care its just fun to go out 99% out there are cool and easy to get along with

That's what it's all about man. Hell I like other people's reaction to my car more than I like driving it. Well maybe not that much but it's still cool when people geek out over your ****.
