Default Flowtech

Anybody have any prior experience w/ them? Im thinking about getting coated flowtechs brand new (290) and flowtech ORY (99). How do they sound/flow? Are pace setters better for the price?

How will flowtech LTs, flowtech ORY, and a magnaflow catback sound?

I want the nastiest/loudest tone w/o true duals. I know LTs, ORY and LM is raspy and drony but i want LOUD! Will magnaflow be loud enough or should i go LM?

Where are you getting these prices from? I am in the market for headers and ORY. If I could get them for those prices I'm sold.

IMO the LTs, ORY and LM is the loudest set-up out there.

The Flowtechs from what I understand are essentially Hooker headers with a different collector. Seems like a flange setup rather than the Hooker's slip on collectors. If they perform as well as the Hookers, they're definately good headers.

I installed the flowtech's & y pipe this past weekend.weld's leave a lot to be desired, and there was a lot of slag, but otherwise quality was good.

Install was a breeze with the exception of the y pipe. The flange that is welded to the y pipe banged on the drivers side floor board something fierce, I didnt want to heat up and bend the collector, so I used heater hose over a clamp, worked great.
other than that, they slid in like butter, total time was about 4 hours

by slag i meant the excess welding material (little calls of metal). The sound is awesome, at idle its a nice deep sound, but at WOT is screams

Well my Flowtech LT'2 and ORY are being installed as we speak Im going with the Adj. Borla so I will let you know what it sounds like with the plate open BTW The LM is a little overpriced IMO you should look into TSP's rumbler system I saw some clips of a Z28 the other night with LT's and the rumbler exhaust it sounded awesome

I've intalled about 5 or 6 sets of hookers and installed my first set of Flowtechs last night.. They are not "like" the hookers. I'm going to have to pull the driver's side off tonight and grind the Kmember on the car where it is rubbing/touching. The welding leaves alot to be desired and also, the holes for the o2 sensor bungs were too small and when I threaded the sensors in, it ate the end of the sensor up. I'll never recommend them to anyone again. I had talked the guy into buying them because I had read there were "like the hookers"... no they are not.

Well I went and looked at my car tonight they installed pretty easy the drivers side is right up against the k-member the y-pipe fits for sh*t took me and two friends to bow up on that sucker! Ther driver side 02 talk about a PITA we had to trim the heat sheild to get it to fit.We then had to make some "cough cough" floor pan adjustments to make the y-pipe collector bolt up to the header.other than that the over priced Borla slid on pretty nicely except for their statement quick and easy plate changes yeah right ill prolly change the plate once every blue moon. But the thing to remember in all this is you get what you pay for! if you are ob a budget get the Flowtech's and if you got extra dought just get the Hooker's SDPC has them for $529 hope this helps
