Default Hood qs

How do shut your TA ws6 hood, let it slam shut from about 12'' up. Or let it down all the way by hand, then push it down to the locked location.

I'd bet GM tested it to make sure you could slam it shut thousands of times without problems. I feel safer letting the weight of the hood on any vehicle latch its self than I do using my body weight to force it to latch and possibly denting or cracking it by applying pressure to 1 or 2 small points with the palms of my hands.

I lower it down then push on the center between the cowls until it latches. I don't think one way is better than the other in this case, just personal preference.

Thanks, I think it just sounds abusive when you slam it down. But it sure beats small dents caused by your hands forcing down.

Our hoods are fiberglass, can't dent them. As long as you don't go crazy and smash it down like you're the hulk, I don't think you'll ever crack it either. Purely personal preference.
