Default Rear End Swap Question

So both wheel bearings are bad on my Z28. I figure it would be easier and free to swap rear ends since I have a totaled car in my back yard.

Here's the question, My 1999 Z28 is GU5 (3.23) with Traction Control, my donor car is a 2000 Camaro V6 with GU6 (3.42) with LSD.

Can I swap over without losing traction control? If so, is it all plug and play?

Isn't that the opposite of what I need? Don't I need converting a 3 channel to a 4 channel if I'm putting a non-asr rear into a asr car?

Read the link. It covers both..All you have to do is swap the axles and sensors off the 4 channel rear into the 3 channel rear.

When you say "both wheel bearings" it's difficult to understand what is actually wrong since we don't have wheel bearings in the rear of our cars. I know it's just habit. Which ones are actually bad....carrier bearings, outer axle bearings, etc.? If it's only the axle bearings those are cheap and easy to replace and would be a good idea to do even on the other rear if you decide to swap it in especially if you're going to use a different set of axles.

OK, you can do those very very easily on your own. Just check the axles for any pitting on the hardened area that rides on the bearings when you pull them out.
