changed plugs...found some oil....

Default changed plugs...found some oil....

the other day i changed my plugs and when pulling them i found a little oil on the threads of 2 plugs.. but the electrodes were dry as a bone and didnt show any signs of oil in the cylinder.. should i be worried? and where is it coming from?

Might be oil coming into the cylinder from the lame LS1 PCV system we have. Check out the external engine forum and do a search for "catch can"

Yeah I got my AMW catch can on the way. Take care of that problem.

Are you changing your own oil? I know of people that don't use funnels and have a tendency to spill oil all over the place. Be patient and look around to see where it is coming from.

yup changing my own oil and not spilling... i guess i also should have mentioned the plugs were on the drivers side.. it very well could be a leaky valve cover i havent had a chance to look it over today..

if it is the driver's side cover then you won't have too much of a hard time removing the coil packs. Get a 10mm socket and ratchet away.
