Default Buying 98 Z28, what to expect?

Hey everybody, I am buying my first f-body tomorrow. It is a 1998 Z28, 6 speed.

What should I expect?

I come from 240sx's, have been driving SR/RB/KA-T cars for years. Obviously the Z won't handle as well as my s-chassis cars, but will it come close performance wise?

Have never had an LS powered car.

you can expect lots of fun. these cars can be built to handle extremely well with good susp, go extremely fast with a few modifications, and sound amazing with a decent exhaust.

Does it have a stock clutch? When you test drive it I'd floor it to red line and bang through the gears. If the clutch pedal gets spongey and sinks to the floor and it's hard to get into gear it could mean you'll need to replace the slave cylinder and/or clutch. An aftermarket clutch and Tick master can set you back a good grand or more so beware.

Smile

fix all repairs. go full boltons such as LTs/LID/CATBACK ect.

a nice set of shocks will really stiffen these cars up. i dont think youll need SFCs though some will disagree.
