Seafoam for a sticky lifter? 2000 z/28
hey everyone,
i seem to be having a slight ticking coming from the first cylinder closest to the firewall on the passenger side. (cylinder number?) my best guess it's a lifter, as it is equal with engine speed and much louder than the usual "sewing machine" noises ls1's are infamous for. i had a **** lifter in my 3.8 that was much louder and much more prominent, which leads me to believe the lifter in the z much be stuck and not pumping up. i've never seafoamed anything before and i would love a step by step process along with any extra info you guys would like to give.
thanks!
btw, i've searched and searched for threads and unfortunately the search engine function is garabge. Plus, i'd like any other opinions on what this is and how to go about it.

I personally don't use seafoam I never really trusted it. I use a bottle of Techron once per oil change and if I have some serious cleaning I use GM Top Engine cleaner. GM uses Techron at the dealer, peel back the GM fuel injector label and Techron is under it.
