Rear passenger side plug question

Rear passenger side plug question
I know this is probably the worst to get. I've read you usually have to access it from under the car. I jacked up the car and looked but it seems the starter and the small cat are crammed up there, no room that I can see. Its a 2001 if it matters.

If you're referring to the #8 plug, yes it's a bitch to get to. I just replaced all my wires and plugs a couple days ago (for the first time )and what I did was completely take the passenger coil pack off and pushed it on top if the intake. Then I removed the exhaust air pipe. For me, that was enough to get my hand in there, put the socket on the plug and (after reciting all the curse words I knew and inventing some new ones) broke it loose.
Didn't need to go under the car at all.
This helped a LOT.

Thanks, I was just doing the coil packs, last bolt of course a challenge also lol. Happy since when I looked at the p side I thought no way in hell, hopefully the last one tomorrow.

Yea last bolt is hard. The way I did it was grab a 10mm wrench, and stick my arm between the intake and coil pack until you feel the last bolt (you won't be able to see it). Get your wrench on it and slowly start taking it out. Some people just loosen it enough to "hinge" the coil pack upwards, but I just took it out. If you are able to take the screw out, screwing it back in is not any harder.

I have no idea why some people do #8 from underneath. To me, it's much easier from the top with the coil rail and AIR pipe removed. Getting that last bolt on the coil rail is easy with a ratcheting 10mm wrench, and you don't even have to put it back. After that, future removals are very simple and quick.

Worked good once I got the coils off, still a pain in the **** and I felt like I should buy the car dinner before putting my arm that deep into the engine bay lol. Hopefully the new ngks and msd wires make a bit of difference.

I just did my plugs/wires friday and had to do that one from the bottom, get a stubby ratchet and bend the heat plate by the cat down and you have plenty of room to get in there. I also did my wire for the one from the bottom.

I started with with the worst one lol then it only gets better. I did take the coil bracket off and got it from the bottom...not bad at all also made sure the plug wire was fully snapped on from the bottom.
