I just got a 2004 GTO and I have twin turbo on it, but the motor is all stock besides the headers. I have a turbo 400 trans. I would like to know what I should do to motor to put it right around 500hp with out the turbos? Anyone help please

Whats wrong with the turbos?... why go backwards and go NA?

500 in a ls1 is not common, takes way too much cash and may not see those numbers, or close to it.

SPRAY IT! no really nothing is wrong with turbo cars, I miss running a turbo some days, that was fun!! I think you would regret dumping the turbos and trying to build that kind of power NA. especially if your on a budget.

the 500hp LS1 is a dream few have accomplished and those who have, have the wallet to match. If you're tired of turbos switch to a Maggie or procharger....you could easily make a ton of power with a D-1SC or F1A procharger.

Are you talking 500hp like C6 Z06 505hp... or do you want rear wheel numbers? 500hp n/a is doable...as everyone else is saying...500rwhp is a goal just not worth chasing without a fat wallet n/a.

Sounds to me from the OP that he's is trying to get the motor to 500 BEFORE the turbos maybe?

I think he wants 500 before adding the turbos, so if he didnt have the turbos he would have a 500 engine as well.
