Default Ground effects question
2001 ss, did they come from the factory with ground effects? If so how can you tell if they are factory?

SS was never available with the ground effects from the factory. Z28 and V6 only 98-02 (RPO code Y3F; labeled as "Sport Appearance Package"); 96/97 RS only (again, RPO Y3F).

The Trans Ams are the only V8 (fbody) that came with factory ground effects.

No, some z28s came with them too. My car had them on when I bought it.

mjs - You bought yours new from the dealer?

My Z28 came with ground effects too... but I know the previous owner had them installed, because he told me.

Did anyone read my post? Z28 could get the ground effects -- RPO code was Y3F.

I did! It was a perfect reply, which is why I didn't bother replying to this one myself. But I see that some others skipped right past it. Probably too techincal for them.
