The May issue of GM High Tech did an indepth comparrison of many of the lids on the market. I suggest you grab a copy before the June ones hit the shelves. If you can't find one I think I remeber it say that most lids are created equal. It did rate the SLP with the best Fit/Finish & something else. I think it also was 1st or second on the dyno with a difference between the highest and lowest lid being around 1 HP.
Personally I replaced my Stock SLP Donladson lid with the aftermarket SLP lid because I liked the look.

I used to have the Whisper and K&N until I got tired of the crappy fit of the filter. Damn Whisper warped. I ended up getting the Clear TSP lid mainly so I could check the seal easier and see if any moisture or debree was entering the intake. It looks nice too. The Holley power shot is a perfect fit, also.

i went with a SLP lid. no problems here rubbing, with my stock hood or my new WS6 hood. as far as performance difference, no much if any, pretty much the decideing factor is $ and how it looks. -Jim

most of the aftermarket lids help approximately the same. Beyond that, I'd say is an aesthetic thing...whatever you like the looks of.
edit: oh yeah, and price may be an issue...LOL

They all perform so close to the same it's not worth talking about. Find one you like best based on appearence, price or percieved quality.
