I went to a local upholstery shop to see what they could do with 2 tone interior...and the guy there said the stock interior was VINYL....is this true? or is it just a cheap leather?...i needa replace the headrest cover cuz it got torn and i ignored it and it got worse...so yeha GM wants to charge i believe 150 per (leather) headrest cover and was wondering if it would eb the same material bcuz i would think if it was Vinyl itd be cheaper....like mayb 75 or something anybody got something on this?

As is the case with 90% of leather equipped cars out there, our cars have "leather seating surfaces" which means the parts that your body touches while seated are leather (the FRONT of the seat and headrest) The sides and back are vinyl.

Go to this place.... katz skin leather doesn't get any better than that... http://www.atd1.com/ or www.leatherseats.com I'm pretty sure the first site I mentioned would be willing to set up a GP b/c he has set them up before on my friend's solara site, very reasonable prices and an awesome guy to work with from what I'm told. Ask for James.

There was a rumor going around the internet that the leather in the GTO's is Kangaroo hide. Does that mean I just have more jump in my foot when driving?

When I replaced my "leather" I found out that the only part that is leather in a TA is the two center pieces that are perferated and have the vertical roll stitching. EVERY other part of the seat is vinyl. So just the part you *** touches and your lower back is leather. From these mail order places, you can get a full set (front and back seats) all leather for about $800 not installed. It is a bitch to install yourself, but I did it. Just takes time and save you like $300 that a pro-installer would charge.

Quit asking what it would cost. No one here can give you a quote unless they are the one selling you the leather. It is best to find out what style, color, stichting, how much leather verses how much vynal, embroidery, door panels, all these play a big part in cost. I suggest you research it and find out what you like and then call around and surf the internet for pricing. Just remember everything cost

Yeah, just go to a shop and get a quote, thats the best thing to do. one of this site's sponsers, http://www.leatherseats.com/ , offers suede as an option. contact them and find out so you can get an idea of what shops would charge you.
