What do I have?
Picked up a 98 Z28 today from original owner, who ordered the car.
Black with white stripes on Hood and deck.
Spoiler and T tops.
RPO code R7A?...slp sales item?
2.73 posi..how do I identify which version I have?
Please forgive the terrible photos..was getting dark when I got it home.
Thanks.

Welcome to the site, and to LS1 ownership.
No, there are no SLP items on a Z28 (stock). Your car does not have RPOs WU8 or Y2Y, therefore is not an SS, and therefore never went to the SLP plant for anything.
R7A = GENUINE CUSTOMER CARE PACKAGE * NO DEDUCTIBLE BUMPER- TO- BUMPER 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE LIMITED WARRANTY * 24 HOUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE * COURTESY TRANSPORTATION AT PARTICIPATING DEALERS * "SCOTCHGARD" PROTECTOR * SEE DEALER FOR DETAILS
What do you mean by "version"? I see RPOs GU2 and G80, which signify a posi 2.73 rear. There was only one version of this for a '98 Z28, which would be the Auburn posi. '99+ get the Torsen.
Hope that helps some.

Thanks for the info.
I found the invoice for the dealer installed stripes.
Car has 160k on the odometer.
How long can I expect the auburn unit to last?
Is the other non cone type rear a better option for the street?
Thanks.

I prefer the Auburn for the street actually; it has none of the chatter that I've experienced with the Torsens in my '99, '00 and '02 (two of which I bought new, and they always chattered under certain conditions).
